Waffle Iron Strawberry Shortcake Ingredients:
- Yellow cake batter, prepared (I used a box mix)
- Cool whip
- Strawberries, quartered (I used frozen)
Waffle Iron Strawberry Shortcake Directions:
- Make five cake waffles with the cake batter. I found mine cooked perfectly in just over three minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
- Build your shortcake with a waffle cake, then a layer of cool whip, then a layer of strawberries. Repeat until you are out of waffle cakes. Garnish with one more dollop of cool whip and a couple extra strawberries.
- Enjoy!

What a great & yummy idea! I had no clue you could use cake mix. Very cool.
