Yes, yes, I'm still on the crazy paleo kick. I've lost 15 pounds though without ever being hungry, so hey, why not. Anyway, I keep seeing people write about this amazing two ingredient chocolate ice cream. And every time I look it's the same recipe. Frozen bananas, cocoa powder, and a food processor. Lots of scraping and mixing. Sounds like a major pain, so I never bothered to try it.
But then those nice folks at Hamilton Beach sent me the cutest little soft serve ice cream maker, and suddenly a light bulb went off. I will have my decadent dark chocolate ice cream and there will be NO scraping! And NO stirring! And it will be DELICIOUS! And so it was.
Decadent Dark Chocolate Paleo Ice Cream Ingredients:
- 2 very ripe bananas, peeled*
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (I'm partial to Hershey's Special Dark)
Decadent Dark Chocolate Paleo Ice Cream Directions:
- Put bananas and cocoa powder in a container and blitz with your immersion blender until it's liquid (only takes a couple seconds).
- Pour mixture into the frozen ice cream bowl and churn for ten minutes.
*If you're not into bananas (which really, it does NOT have a strong banana flavor) you can sub out for vanilla yogurt. That's what my kids like - but warning, it will be *tart*!
Wait! Don't go yet!!!
