Day 1 of the Whole30 wasn't too bad. I have the benefit of knowing what to anticipate since I've done it before. Although, if we're being honest, I wasn't TOTALLY strict last time. Just mostly. This time I'm going all-in. As expected, I was craving sweets after dinner. Not to worry, a smoothie fit the bill just fine. So far I feel okay, but I'm pretty sure that detox headache is on it's way. Boo.
Late breakfast/early lunch:
Browned ground pork sausage with a couple of eggs cracked on top, sliced apple, and black coffee.
Garlic stuffed olives and lime seltzer water. My kids and husband have colds. I'm adding garlic to EVERYTHING.
Broiled marinated steak, roasted asparagus, sauteed mushrooms (with rendered bacon fat, onion and GARLIC), and a handful of cherry tomatoes.
After dinner/bedtime snack:
Coconut milk berry smoothie.
