As a member of the FoodBuzz advertising network (see right-hand column), I am occasionally invited to really awesome food events. This past Sunday I joined about twenty other local food bloggers for a Tastemaker event at Carrabba’s. It was an absolute blast!
The lovely Managing Partner, Angela Gutierrez, cooked us an appetizer and three main courses to try. She explained how to make them at home and went into great detail about the ingredients they use at the restaurant and where they come from!
Then she surprised us with an amazing mini dessert selection, a to-go meal for our families and a lovely parting gift. I was already a fan of Carrabba’s, but now I’m just plain smitten!
They were all yummy, but the first one (deconstructed canoli with crushed pistachios) gave me a new found respect for desserts that incorporate cheese. If I could have licked the glass clean, I would have.
NOTE: I was absolutely NOT required to write a post about this event! I had a wonderful time and the food was amazing. I was not compensated in any manner other than being well fed.
