Are you having pie deja vu? Yes, yes. I posted nearly the same recipe just a few days ago, but I just think apple and cherry pies deserve their own mentions. What can I say? I’m a little strange. These Mini Apple Cinnamon Pie Pockets however, are not strange at all. They’re just delectable. Mmmmmm.
Apple Pie Bites
Apple pie bite ingredients
- 1 can apple pie filling, 21 ounce
- 4 packages eight count crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- cinnamon & sugar
How do you make apple pie bites
- Unroll your crescent rolls so you have individual flat triangles.
- In the center of each triangle drop 2-3 apple pieces from your pie filling.
- Gather the corners of each triangle at the top and pinch closed along the sides. It’s okay if a little filling oozes out!
- Bake at 375 degrees on a parchment lined cookie sheet, for 10 -12 minutes, until pockets are turning a pretty golden color.
- Allow to cool for a couple minutes, drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and serve warm.

Tools we love
- Pie plate – I love these sturdy glass pie plates, they’re the go-to in our home. Also awesome, that they come in a 2-pack and are super reasonably priced!
- Electric mixer – I love love love love love (x’s 100) my stand mixer. Really and truly. But my daily work horse is this handheld electric mixer. It even comes in allll the colors. Which, yay!

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I used this recipe to make apple, cherry and blueberry pockets for our Thanksgiving today and they were a serious hit! They were way better than traditional pie so that way everyone could have a little bit of each flavor they like. I struggled with shaping the crescents at first because they weren't cold enough but I figured that out and it was so easy from there. User error rather than a recipe error there though. I topped them all with powdered sugar and 1 small scoop of ice cream for all 3 on my plate. I should also say that I'm not a baker by any means so this was a pleasant surprise. Anyone looking to shake things up a bit and be a bit more practical around how much dessert your family can eat after a huge holiday feast should consider these. I made 16 of each type and that was more than enough for 10+ people. My family thanks you! Happy holidays!
