How to make smashed potatoes extra crispy?
Don’t skip the butter
The butter (or oil if you prefer) will help get them nice and crispy.
Go thinner
The thinner you smash the potatoes, the crispier they’ll get.
Use convection
Use the convection or air fryer setting on your oven to move the air around and make these super duper crispy.
Leftovers and storage
How long do leftover smashed potatoes last?
These will keep in the refrigerator for 3 – 4 days, or a few months in the freezer.
What’s the best way to reheat the leftovers?
To crisp up the leftovers, reheat them in a toaster oven or air fryer. You can also heat them back up on high heat in the oven.
