Cut the loaf of bread in half crosswise. Set one of the halves aside to use for something else later. Cut the remaining piece in half lengthwise.
Mix together the butter, garlic and parsley. Spread the mixture evenly along the cut half of both pieces of bread.
Bake in a 425℉ oven for 10 minutes, until the edges of the bread are golden and crispy. If desired, place under the broiler for a minute or two, but watch very closely to avoid burning.
