Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cans red kidney beans rinsed and drained
  • 2 cans Rotel Tomatoes with Chili
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs or crushed crackers

Instructions

  • Cook the beef in a large skillet on high heat until crumbled and browned.
  • Drain most of the fat off, cook the onion in the pan until slightly browned and translucent.
  • Add to the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Cook on high for four hours or on low for 6 hours. ¬†Alternatively, you could do this in the electric pressure cooker for 30 minutes.
