1pintripe strawberries(about 12 large, 24 medium, or 36 small strawberries)
8ounceschocolatealmond bark or candy melts also work
edible gold dust/powder, sprinklesoptional
Instructions
Wash strawberries and dry thoroughly. If the leaves are in good shape, leave them on for looks and for ease of dipping.
Add your chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and heat on high power in 20 second increments, stirring between heat cycles, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
Hold by the leaves (or use a toothpick), and carefully dip each strawberry in chocolate. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment lined baking sheet or platter. If using sprinkles, add right away before chocolate sets.
Use any remaining melted chocolate as a decorative drizzle on some of the strawberries and, if desired, once the chocolate is fully set, brush with gold dust powder.

Microwave: use a microwave safe bowl and heat chocolate in 20 second increments, stirring between heat cycles until smooth.
Stovetop: melt chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly, remove from heat as soon as chocolate is melted; double boiler can be used if desired.
Slow Cooker: add chocolate to oven safe dishes or a crock pot divider and place in slow cooker (mason jars work well for this); cover, set to low for 1 - 2 hours, stir before using. You can melt multiple types of chocolate at once using this method.
