Instant-read meat thermometer
Basting brush
Paper towels
Ingredients
4
salmon fillets
about 6 - 8 ounces each
2
tablespoons
vegetable oil
1
teaspoon
salt
(or your favorite seasoning blend)
½
teaspoon
black pepper
(or your favorite seasoning blend)
Zest of 1 lemon
optional
Chopped fresh parsley
for garnish (optional)
Lemon wedges
for serving (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Brush both sides of the salmon with the vegetable oil.
Season the fillets with the salt and black pepper (or your favorite seasoning blend). If using, sprinkle the lemon zest over the tops.
Arrange the salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin-side down, leaving space between each fillet for proper air circulation.
Air fry for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, is opaque throughout, and flakes easily with a fork.
Let the salmon rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges, if desired.

Recipe Notes:
Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Thicker fillets may require an additional 1 to 3 minutes.
Preheating the air fryer helps the salmon cook more evenly and develop lightly crisp edges.
Avoid overcrowding the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
An instant-read thermometer is the most reliable way to determine doneness.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F air fryer for 3 to 4 minutes, or until warmed through.
