Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and trim excess skin if needed.
In a small bowl, mix together the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
Pour 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over the chicken and toss again until coated.
Arrange the chicken thighs skin side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Flip the chicken thighs over and brush with the remaining barbecue sauce.
Return to the oven and bake another 20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Turn the oven to broil and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes to caramelize the barbecue sauce around the edges.
Serve warm.
