Rich, chocolatey Snickers fudge layered with gooey caramel, crunchy salted peanuts, and a smooth chocolate topping - your favorite candy bar in fudge form.
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper (leave the edges hanging off the sides so you can lift the fudge out the dish) and set aside.
In a small pan, combine the butter, cocoa powder, brown sugar and milk and bring to a boil on a medium to low heat. Stirring often.
After boiling, add the powdered sugar and the vanilla extract in and stir. Remove from heat and pour into the lined 8x8 dish.
Add the water and unwrapped caramels to a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high in the microwave in 15 second increments, stirring between heat cycles, for about 90 second total - until the caramel is completely melted.
Stir the peanuts into the caramel. Pour into the dish on top of the chocolate layer and spread. In another microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips for around 30-50 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds until melted. Pour over top of the caramel layer and spread.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, then lift the fudge out using the edges of the parchment paper, an carefully cut into 1-inch squares.

Line the pan with parchment paper and leave overhang so the fudge can be lifted out easily for slicing.
Stir the cocoa mixture constantly while heating to prevent scorching.
Microwave caramels in short intervals, stirring often, to avoid overheating.
Be sure all plastic wrappers are removed from the caramels before melting.
If chilled overnight, let the fudge sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting for cleaner slices.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
