Strawberry Simple Syrup Recipe

sliced fresh strawberries
(the more ripe the better)

granulated sugar
Instructions
Add strawberries, water, and sugar to a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or container. Do not press the strawberries.
Let cool before using, or use immediately as desired.
