Caramelized onions are such a yummy addition to so many recipes. But they’re also kind of a pain in the tuchus. Unless!!! Unless you make them in the oven! This simple technique for how to caramelize onions in the oven will have you dressing everything with caramelized onions. Because, look how easy it is!
Caramelized Onion
Ingredients
- Onions thinly sliced (this would be a great time to whip our your mandolin or food processor!)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Toss onions in olive oil, use just enough to lightly coat.
- Spread onions on a baking sheet and roast on the top oven rack at 375 degrees for 60 minutes, stirring and re-spreading every 2o minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Use, refrigerate or freeze!
