Grape Salad Ingredients

  • Grapes – Red and green, seedless. 
  • Cream cheese – Full fat will give you the best flavor, softened to room temperature. 
  • Sour cream – Full fat  will give you the best flavor. 
  • Sugar – White granulated sugar and light brown sugar. 
  • Vanilla – Real vanilla extract. 
  • Nuts – Walnuts and pecans are our favorite.

How do you make a grape salad?

First, thoroughly rinse and dry the grapes, set aside.

Then, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar and vanilla until smooth.

Next, add the cream cheese mixture to the grapes and mix until the grapes are thoroughly coated.

Finally, mix together the brown sugar and the nuts, and sprinkle on top of the grape mixture. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Whip together the white sugar, cream cheese, and sour cream. Fold in the grapes, then top with brown sugar and nuts.

Can you make grape salad ahead of time?

Yes, you can make this up to one day ahead of time. Mix it well and make sure the grapes are fully coated. 

Wait until serving before topping with nuts and brown sugar.  

What kind of grapes for grape salad?

Definitely use seedless grapes!  We also like to use half red and half green grapes for color variation.

Storage and leftovers

Do you have to refrigerate grape salad?

This recipe calls for refrigeration. If it is kept out at room temperature for more than two hours, leftovers should be disposed of. 

How long does grape salad last?

Leftovers will keep in the refrigerator for 2 – 3 days. The grapes may be a little bit softer, but they will still taste fine. 

Can you freeze grape salad?

It is not recommended to freeze this recipe.

Ingredients
 

  • 2 pounds seedless red grapes
  • 2 pounds seedless green grapes
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup chopped nuts we used half walnuts and half pecans

Instructions

  • Thoroughly rinse and dry the grapes, set aside.
  • In a medium bowl with an electric hand mixer, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the cream cheese mixture to the grapes and mix until the grapes are thoroughly coated.

  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
