- Pie crust – Refrigerated pie crust dough. You can use premade, or try our homemade pie crust recipe!
- Sausage – Breakfast sausage.
- Onion – Yellow onion, diced.
- Cheese – Shredded cheddar cheese.
- Eggs – Large.
- Cream – Heavy whipping cream.
- Seasonings – Mustard powder, salt, ground black pepper.
- Optional – Diced sweet or hot peppers, spinach, tomatoes, or other favorite vegetables.

Quick directions for making a breakfast sausage quiche
⭐ First, press the pie crust dough into a pie plate and pinch the edges to create the classic pie crust design. Set aside.
⭐ Next, heat brown sausage in a skillet and drain. Add the onions to the skilletand cook until tender and translucent. Transfer the sausage and onions to the pie crust and stop with cheese.
⭐ Then, in a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, mustard powder, salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the sausage and cheese.
⭐ Last, bake in the oven until the crust is golden and the filling is set. Allow to rest before serving.

How to Make Sausage Quiche

Sausage Quiche Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 batch prepared pie dough
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- ½ yellow onion diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
- Gently press the pie crust dough into a 9" pie plate and pinch the edges. Set aside.
- Brown sausage in a large skillet, then drain any excess grease from the pan. Add the onions and cook until tender and translucent.
- Transfer the sausage and onions to the prepared pie plate, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over the cheese and sausage mixture.
- Bake on the center rack of a preheated 350 ℉ oven for 40 to 50 minutes, until the crust is golden and the filling is set.* Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.*Tent loosely with foil if crust begins to brown before quiche is finished cooking.
