We went on a road trip up the east coast a few weeks ago and landed on the coast of Connecticut and Rhode Island for a bit. While we were there, I couldn’t help but indulge in the really really excellent seafood that seemed to be available everywhere we ate.
This Blue Cheese Pub Style Cod Sandwich recipe is brought to you by Gorton’s Seafood . The content and opinions expressed below are that of Mama Loves Food.
You would think, living in Florida, we would get sick of seafood but sadly good seafood isn’t easy to come by where we live. Weird, right?! So in homage to our super awesome trip and all the delicious food we enjoyed, I put together this Blue Cheese Pub Style Cod Sandwich and served it up with some big ol’ steak fries.
This sandwich is not for a precious delicate flower. It’s reserved for folks who are HUNGRY. And like GOOD FOOD. It’s a go big or go home type of sandwich. My favorite kind, of course.
Battered cod is the star here, with blue cheese coming in at a close second. Don’t underestimate the power of a good coleslaw though, she’s stealthy and important. Muy importante!
