Breakfast for dinner is fantastic, who doesn’t love a stack of pancakes, pile of bacon, and cheesy eggs at any time of day – but ice cream for dinner is magical. It’s one of those things your kids will remember as adults and (hopefully) do for their own kids every now and again. So, when I was in a funky (read = not great) mood the other day, I thought introducing my kids to the Classic Banana Split Sundae, would be the perfect way to lighten things up. And, oh hey. It worked.
Classic Banana Split Sundae, Ingredients:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Hot fudge topping
- Whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries
Classic Banana Split Sundae, Directions:
- Split the banana length-wise. (No, seriously, it’s called a banana split for a reason!) And place it in the bottom of your bowl.
- Pile on a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, then drizzle the hot fudge topping liberally.
- Dollop on some whipped cream (I dare you to make it fresh!), and finish with a couple (dozen) maraschino cherries.
