- Gluten free.
- Know exactly what’s in them.
- No additives, preservatives, fillers, colorings, or anti-caking agents.
- Money saving.
Funnel into an air tight container.
Preparation
Can you make spice blends ahead of time?
Absolutely! We typically make a large jar and use it over the course of several months.
How much homemade Italian seasoning should I use?
This recipe is a 1:1 with store bought Italian seasoning, so use it exactly as you would when using a commercially prepared blend.
Play with the blend adding more or less of the spices you love!
Storage and leftovers
How do you store homemade seasonings?
Spice blends should be stored in an airtight container in a cool dry environment (like an air conditioned house).
Do not store them in the refrigerator as they will condensate when you bring them out and it can cause clumping.
How long does DIY seasoning last?
Dried spice blends theoretically last forever, but will begin to lose flavor potency after about 6 months.
Make sure to date your bottle so you know how fresh it is.

Great seasoning mix! LOVE that you left out garlic and onion. We can totally add that ourselves. But some recipes include that and I have to watch how much I have of those ingredients. Your recipe, leaving out garlic & onion, is wonderfully low FODMAP! So perfect for those of us who have to follow a low FODMAP diet because of IBS! Thank you for this great seasoning mix that adds so much flavor but doesn’t add any stress to my digestive system! Love this!
