- Butter – Salted butter, melted.
- Sugar – Brown sugar and white sugar.
- Cinnamon – Ground cinnamon.
- Nuts – Pecan halves or chopped pecans.
How do you make sticky buns in the crock pot? (step-by-step)
⭐ First, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar. Spread the mixture into the bottom of your slow cooker. Sprinkle about half of the pecans over the mixture.
⭐ Then, add remaining butter to shallow bowl and pour cinnamon sugar into a second shallow bowl. Dip each uncooked biscuit into the butter, then coat in the cinnamon sugar. Place biscuits on top of pecans in the slow cooker
⭐ Next, sprinkle remaining butter, cinnamon sugar, and pecans over the tops of the biscuits. Cover and set to high until the dough is cooked through.
⭐ Finally, run a knife along the edges of the cooked buns to loosen. Very carefully, invert the buns onto a serving platter. Enjoy warm.

Preparation
Can you make slow cooker sticky pecan buns ahead of time?
Technically yes, but these are really best when served warm right after baking. If you make them a day or two in advance, re-warm in the microwave before serving.
What kind of nuts for crock pot sticky buns?
We’re partial to pecans, but walnuts or chopped almonds would be delicious too. You can also skip the nuts entirely if you prefer.
How do you get the buns out of the crockpot?
Place a large serving platter over the crock insert and invert the whole thing (you want the buns to be “upside-down”). Alternatively, remove with a spatula and place buns upside down on your serving plate.
Leftovers and storage
How long to leftover slow cooker sticky buns keep?
These will last 2 – 3 days. We recommend refrigerating them so as not to attract ants. Warm in the microwave before enjoying.
Can you freeze slow cooker sticky pecan buns?
We have not tested freezing this recipe.
