We all know I'm not much of a baker, it's just not in my blood. Or maybe I don't have time. Or maybe I am an amazing pastry chef, but the talent lies hidden and undiscovered! Hah! Well, regardless - baking from scratch almost never happens around here. But I still love to make unique goodies for friends and family, so one of my favorite things to do is cheer up a box cake mix. They make the perfect base (no weighing or measuring!) and you can do so much with a little ingenuity!
This weekend for our holiday gifts, we put together these yummy White Chocolate and Peppermint Cupcakes. In the past I've always just slopped some icing on top and called it a day, but I recently got a pack of icing tips and have been experimenting with making my cupcakes look a little more professional. They're far from perfect, but I just love how these came out. And they were a total hit! Yay!

We picked up our cupcake ingredients on a quick trip to Walmart and also grabbed some Great Value Milk (two gallons, actually - you know... five kids and all that), M&M's® Holiday Peanut Butter, and M&M's® Holiday Milk Chocolate! I also grabbed my outfit for the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party! Can't wait to show you!

We go through several gallons of milk in our house every week. Milk is nutrient-rich and has 9 essential nutrients, including 8 grams of high-quality protein per serving. It is the top food source of three of the nutrients most likely to be missing in the American diet – calcium, vitamin D and potassium.
Sadly, children and families in our communities are missing out on the benefits of milk because it’s rarely donated to food banks, despite the high demand. More than 46.5 million Americans (one in every six children) rely on Feeding America food banks each year. And one of the most requested food items is milk. On average though, food banks are able to provide less than one gallon of milk per person per year.
Let's change that!!! For a small donation at pourmilklove.com. The Great American Milk Drive will deliver a gallon of milk to a deserving family in YOUR local community.
