Valentine Cookies Ingredients
- Sugar cookie mix – I used the Betty Crocker brand bag of sugar cookie mix, but any brand with the same general volume of ingredients should work.
- Red jello – We chose cherry for our cookies, but try any flavor you like!
- Butter – Salted butter is my preference to offset the intense sweetness of this recipe. Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature.
- Egg – The egg helps bind everything together and give the cookies a little lift.
- Powdered sugar – If you’re not icing your cookies, you don’t need powdered sugar. This is sometimes also referred to as icing sugar or confectioners sugar.
- Milk – My preference is whole milk for a rich flavored icing. In a pinch you can use any liquid, even water.
- Sprinkles – Red, white, pink, heart, round, shimmery, you name it, sprinkles are the best!
How Do You Make Valentine Cookies
⭐ First, combine sugar cookie mix and jello packet.
⭐ Next, add butter and egg and mix until a dough forms. I like to do this with an electric mixer.
⭐ Then, roll into small balls (40 – 45) and bake on a parchment lined baking sheet.
⭐ Finally, allow to cool, then ice and top with sprinkles.
