This Vanilla Berry Milkshake with Cake and Berry Skewers Recipe is a partnered post with Pollinate Media Group®, Sara Lee®, and Breyers® all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #EasySimpleSweet http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
We all know I'm not a baker. I'll eat dessert all day long, but if it's not something you can improvise with a dash of this and a scoop of that, then you don't want me cooking it. Trust me, I come by this knowledge honestly. That being said, it's still fun to put together a fancy looking dessert! Just so long as it doesn't require me to measure, weigh, or sift any of the ingredients. This Vanilla Berry Milkshake with Cake and Berry Skewers fits the bill perfectly.
You may have noticed I'm on a 'food on a stick' kick right now. In fact, we had chicken on a stick for dinner two nights ago (although, confession: we ordered it from the local Thai place). I don't know what's so wonderful about eating something off a stick, but clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way since it's every food available at every state fair ever. Go Team Stick Food! Yay!
Vanilla Berry Milkshake with Cake and Berry Skewers, Ingredients:
- 1 part frozen berries
- 3 parts vanilla ice cream
- whole milk, as needed
- pound cake
- fresh berries
Vanilla Berry Milkshake with Cake and Berry Skewers, Directions:
- In a blender combine ice cream, berries, and a splash of milk. Intermittently blend and scrape sides, adding milk as necessary to reach desired consistency.
- Slice pound cake into squares (this works best if the cake is semi-frozen), and skewer with fresh fruit.
For my recipe, I used Sara Lee® Original Pound Cake Slices and Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream from my local Publix. I love that these items can stay in my freezer to be ready for company (or me and a Netflix marathon) on a moment's notice.
If you'd like to make this same sweet treat at home (oh, you know you want to), be sure to take advantage of $3.00 off any ONE (1) Sara Lee® Frozen Dessert 9.6-30 oz. and Breyers® Ice Cream 48 oz. (combined purchase required) now through 8/28/15 at your local Publix while supplies last.
