Preparation
Can you make crack chicken dip ahead of time?
Yes, the dip can be prepared and then kept in the refrigerator for a day or two before baking and serving. It can also be frozen for several months.
How long do you cook crack chicken dip in the oven?
We cook ours in the oven for about twenty to thirty minutes. This can vary depending on the size and depth of your pan. Typically a deep pan will need to cook longer, while a larger shallow dish will take less time.
Crack Chicken Dip (Crock Pot)
If you want to make this dip in the slow cooker, you’ll just need to add all the ingredients to your slow cooker after they’ve been mixed together. Spread it evenly, then cover and turn on low for about 30 minutes.
Leftovers and storage
How Long Does Crack Chicken Dip Stay Good For
It will stay good for 3 – 5 days in the refrigerator. You won’t want to keep it longer than that because there is meat (chicken) in the dip.
If you want the dip to last longer, your best bet is to pop it in the freezer. When it comes out just give things a good stir if the ingredients have separated a bit. Then pop it in the oven or microwave to heat.
How to Store Crack Chicken Dip
You’ll want to store it in an air tight container in the refrigerator or freezer. This dip contains both dairy and meat, so if it is left out for too long it will go bad.
If you have leftovers from a party, make sure that it wasn’t left out for more than two hours. If it was, then throw the leftovers away to avoid getting sick.
How do you freeze this creamy ranch chicken dip?
If already baked, first allow it to cool completely, then store in an airtight freezer safe container. Freeze for up to 6 months.
To cook from frozen, make sure it’s in a dish that can go from freezer to oven, then add 30 – 40 minutes to your bake time. Alternatively, thaw overnight in the refrigerator then bake according to the recipe directions.
