I am SO in love with this turkey meatloaf! Ultra moist, super easy to make and always a hit with the family. And bonus – it’s healthy!
I made this turkey meatloaf recipe when I was doing Weight Watchers (it’s very low points!) and it’s stayed a regular in our arsenal since then because it’s SO good! Seriously, the moistest turkey meatloaf I’ve ever had.

Turkey Meatloaf
Turkey Meatloaf Ingredients
- Ground turkey – All breast meat is fine (that’s what we used in the images), or if you prefer a dark + white meat mix, that will work too.
- Onion – Grated or very (very) finely minced.
- Crackers – I am partial to Ritz crackers. If you swap the crackers out, make sure you use something with a buttery flavor.
- Eggs – We used large eggs, whisked.
- Garlic – Fresh garlic will give you the most intense flavor, but you can use minced garlic from a jar as well.
- Ketchup – Adds a little sweetness, some moisture, and a lovely very mild tomato flavor.
- Mustard – I like to use a stone ground mustard for both flavor and textural purposes.
- Worcestershire sauce – You could also use 1 bouillon cube + 1/2 the worcestershire sauce called for if you prefer a more meaty/less tangy flavor.
- Milk – I prefer whole milk for this recipe.
- BBQ Sauce – For the glaze. If you’re on a diet, there are several delicious sugar free barbecue sauce options.
How do you make turkey meatloaf?

What side dishes go with turkey meatloaf?
Try our easy turkey meatloaf with some healthy zucchini noodles, or our baked cauliflower rice. It also goes great with a strawberry spinach salad. And if you’re feeling indulgent, end with an easy fruit pizza! Or try it at the holidays with some cranberry salsa!
Do you bake meatloaf uncovered?
Meatloaf should be baked covered for the majority of the time. toward the end of the cook time, glaze and finish cooking it uncovered. The reason we cook our turkey meatloaf covered is to steam it, which makes for an extra moist turkey meatloaf.
Does turkey meatloaf freeze well?
Turkey meatloaf freezes well! I love making this recipe in muffin tins and then freezing the individual portions for quick healthy weekday lunches. Make sure you allow the meatloaf to cool completely before freezing.
If you are freezing a full loaf, you will want to wrap it well with plastic wrap or foil to reduce the risk of freezer burn. Frozen meatloaf will last in the freezer for about 3 months before the flavor and texture begin to deteriorate.
How do you defrost frozen turkey meatloaf?
The best way to defrost frozen turkey meatloaf is in the refrigerator for about 24 hours, or at least overnight. If you are defrosting mini turkey meatloafs, they will take less time.
Alternatively, you can use the defrost function on your microwave.
How do you reheat frozen turkey meatloaf?
Turkey meatloaf is best reheated in a microwave to avoid drying out. Try covering it with a moist paper towel for the best results.
If you use the oven to reheat your meatloaf, put a pan of water in the oven in the oven while it is preheating to create steam and moisture. Reheat at 350 degrees for 10 – 15 minutes, until heated through (this will depend on the size of your leftovers).

Tools we love
- Santuko knife – My favorite knife for cutting vegetables! This knife is the perfect size and shape, handles great, and is super reasonably priced. Also, I just love that it’s fun and colorful!
- Garlic press – Need fresh minced or sliced garlic, but don’t want to peel or chop your garlic? This garlic press is the bessssssst. We’ve had ours for as long as I can remember (maybe a wedding present?), and I use it several times a week!
