Pineapple Tea {FROZEN}

Pineapple Tea is SO good! I’ve recently learned that saffron is the color of the season.  Who knew that seasons had official colors – not me, for sure.  But apparently it’s a thing and this season it’s saffron.

So, I’m figuring if there’s a color of the season (saffron), then there ought to be a drink of the season. And for those of you who don’t know (I didn’t) saffron is a tone of golden yellow resembling the color of the tip of the saffron crocus thread, from which the spice saffron is derived.

Frozen Pineapple Tea

Which means saffron is a foodie color (yay!) and roughly the same color of this Pineapple & Coconut Frozen Sweet Tea recipe we’re making today.  I mean, close enough anyway. Which means, I’m officially nominating our Pineapple & Coconut Frozen Sweet Tea as the drink of the season.  Or at the very least, the drink of the afternoon barbecue.

This frozen slushie mocktail only takes three ingredients and a blender.  It’s tropical, and creamy, and downright delicious.  Most parts of the country are still basking in the last licks of summer, so this is the perfect drink to pair with your end of the (saffron) season barbecue.

Sometimes my kids like to hang out with me in the kitchen and help cook.  Other times, they poke each other’s faces and act crazy.  That’s when I take a picture of them being weird and then send them outdoors to enjoy some sunshine before we indulge in grilled chicken & pineapple tea mocktails.

You can make these Pineapple & Coconut Frozen Sweet Tea drinks with any type of tea, but I’d like to suggest using Harvest Pear from Gold Peak Tea.  It’s a limited edition and you’re going to want to grab it while you can!  We also used Soy Vay® Veri Veri Teriyaki® Marinade for our Grilled Pineapple & Chicken Teriyaki Kabobs.  Talk about the perfect pairing!
