How do you make cinnamon bread? (step-by-step directions)

First, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. In a larger bowl, whisk together the milk and vegetable oil.

Next, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in small batches and mix together until just combined. Pour the mixture into the loaf pan.

Then, whisk together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Spoon half the mixture onto the bread and use a knife to swirl the cinnamon sugar into the bread. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar onto the top of the bread.

Finally, bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.

HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON BREAD
Make sure not to overmix the batter, it’s okay if there are some lumps.

Preparation

How do I know if my cinnamon bread is done?

You know it’s done when you can stick a long toothpick down the center of the bread and it comes out clean. If the toothpick comes out clean, do not continue baking the bread or you’ll end up with a dry or burnt result.

How long do you leave cinnamon bread in the pan after baking?

For best results, carefully turn it out of the pan immediately after baking and place it on a cooling rack. Leaving the bread in the hot pan runs the risk of the bread continuing to bake outside the oven.

Can I freeze cinnamon bread?

Absolutely! Wrap the cooled bread in foil or plastic wrap and store in a ziploc bag in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature.
