- Lettuce – Spring mix is my favorite lettuce blend for this bowl.
- Cucumber – Small English cucumbers are my favorite.

Preparation
Can you make salmon bowls ahead of time?
Prepping the ingredients ahead of time is a great idea, but we don’t suggest actually assembling the bowls until you’re ready to eat.
Keep the ingredients separate and refrigerated in sealed containers until you’re ready to put them together.
What kind of rice is best?
I used a white basmati rice, but honestly any kind you love will work. It can also be made with quinoa or cauliflower rice!
If using leftover rice, you may want to heat it in the microwave with a little bit of water to soften before adding to your bowl.
Do you eat this hot or cold?
It’s totally a matter of preference, I personally like my rice and salmon warm with the other ingredients cold. You can make them with hot or cold ingredients, or heat up a cold bowl in the oven or microwave.
What other protein can be used?
This bowl is also awesome with seared chicken or grilled flank steak. If you want to keep it vegetarian, try some pan fried tofu!

Serving suggestions
Pair this healthy salmon bowl with a sweet treat like a frosted lemonade or strawberry milkshake. If you’re serving it as a dinner side, try spaghetti carbonara or chicken cordon bleu casserole as your main!
