How do you make pumpkin pie shots? (step-by-step directions)
⭐ First, add the cheesecake pudding mix and half and half to a bowl; mix together. Add the white rum and use an electric mixer to beat until thickened again.
⭐ Next, fold in whipped cream, and portion evenly into shot glasses.
⭐ Then, add the pumpkin spice pudding mix and remaining half and half to a bowl; mix together. Add the spiced rum and use an electric mixer to beat until thickened again. Fold in whipped cream and add to shot glasses.

If you prefer a straight pumpkin pie flavor, you can double the pumpkin pie mix and skip the cheesecake. We like the combo though!

Want to make these as mini desserts and safe for the kids instead of boozy? No problem, just swap the alcohol for an equal amount of milk or water and you’ll be set!

Ingredients
- 1 package pumpkin spice instant pudding mix 3.4 ounces
- 1 package cheesecake instant pudding mix 3.4 ounces
- 2 cups half and half divided equally
- 1 cup cool whip divided equally (plus more for garnish, if desired)
- ½ cup spiced rum
- ½ cup white rum

Instructions
- Add the cheesecake pudding mix and one portion of half and half to a bowl; mix together. Add the white rum and use an electric mixer to beat until thickened again.
- Fold in whipped cream, and portion evenly into shot glasses.
- Add the pumpkin spice pudding mix and remaining half and half to a bowl; mix together. Add the spiced rum and use an electric mixer to beat until thickened again.
- Fold in whipped cream, and portion evenly into shot glasses.
- Chill for up to an hour, and then top with whipped cream and sprinkles immediately before serving.
Notes
- Do not increase alcohol as it will keep the mixture from setting up.
- To make a non-alcoholic version, swap alcohol for equal amounts of milk or water.
- Use crushed graham crackers at the bottom of your glasses and serve with a spoon for a dessert version.
