Preparation
What kind of bacon for bacon cinnamon rolls?
Any type of bacon will work, I’m partial to a smoky bacon so it adds lots of flavor. We don’t recommend thick cut bacon.
You’ll want the bacon cooked through, but not crispy (so you can roll it up into the dough easily). Make your own with our oven bacon method or our air fryer bacon method, or grab a pack of microwave bacon from the market.
What kind of dough for bacon cinnamon rolls?
You can absolutely use a homemade cinnamon roll recipe, but we find it’s super easy to grab a can of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough from the grocery store.
Make sure to choose one that will unroll. Typically these are the larger packages labeled “Grands”.
Leftovers and storage
How long to bacon cinnamon rolls last?
The leftovers will keep in the refrigerator for 3 – 4 days. Cover in foil or plastic wrap or store in an airtight container.
Enjoy the leftovers cold or heat them up in the microwave or air fryer.
Can you freeze bacon cinnamon rolls?
We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
