Raspberry Dumpling Ingredients
- Crescent roll dough – You can totally make your own if you’re feeling ambitious, but I love grabbing a tube of dough from the refrigerated section of our market.
- Raspberry pie filling – Again, feel free to prepare it from scratch if you’d like, but a can of raspberry pie filling works great!
- Optional – Cream cheese icing, powdered sugar.

How do you make raspberry dumplings? (Step-by-step)
⭐ First, unroll crescent dough and slice each triangle in half long ways (this should give you a total of 16). Roll into crescents and set aside.
⭐ Next, pour half of raspberry pie filling into an oven safe dish. Place rolled crescents on top, then pour remaining pie filling over crescents.
⭐ Then, cover with foil and bake until dumplings are fully cooked.
⭐ Finally, drizzle with icing and powdered sugar.

Preparation
Can you make the dumplings ahead of time?
Yes, you can prepare the raspberry dumplings up to a day in advance and store them in the refrigerator, covered, until ready to bake.
Can I use different flavors of pie filling?
Yes, you can use whatever flavor of fruit pie filling you like best. You could even use something a little different like our apple butter recipe.
Storage and leftovers
How long do raspberry dumplings last?
The dumplings will keep in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
How do you reheat leftover dumplings?
Reheat in the microwave on high power for 60 – 90 seconds per portion. Alternatively, heat in a toaster oven on medium or conventional oven at 350F degrees until heated through.

Tips and tricks
🟢 Make if for a crowd by doubling the recipe and using a 9×13 casserole dish.
🟢 Mix things up by trying a different flavor of pie filling.
🟢 Try other types of “dumplings”, like canned biscuit mix or even sugar cookie dough.

Complete your meal with our recipe suggestions
One of the things I love about our raspberry dumplings recipe is that it can be served as a breakfast or a dessert! If you’re making it for breakfast, serve it alongside some crispy oven cooked bacon, fluffy Greek yogurt pancakes, and runny poached eggs.
If it’s dessert you’re after, then try leading with homemade barbecue chicken pizza and a side of oven roasted brussel sprouts.
