Air Fryer Broccoli Ingredients

  • Broccoli – Fresh broccoli florets cut and trimmed. You can use frozen/thawed broccoli, but it will not crisp up the way fresh broccoli does.
  • Oil – Any vegetable oil will work, our preference is olive oil. Try to choose something with a high smoke point for best results. Avocado oil is also a good choice.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper.

BROCCOLI IN THE AIR FRYER

Preparation

Do you rinse broccoli before cooking?

Yes, you should rinse the florets, trim off the bottom of the stems, and cut in bite sized pieces.  Use a salad spinner or paper towel to dry before air frying.

Can you make air fryer broccoli ahead of time?

These are really best enjoyed right away when they’re hot and crispy.  You can get your prep going a day or two ahead by cutting and trimming the florets.

How can you tell when air fryer broccoli is done?

The broccoli is finished when the outer edges and tops are browned and crispy. How browned and crispy will be a matter of preference, but we like them cooked for around 8 – 10 minutes.

Leftovers and storage

How long does air fryer broccoli last?

Leftover broccoli will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.  Store in an airtight container for best results.

Can you freeze air fried broccoli?

Yes, but they won’t be crispy anymore when thawed and reheated.  We prefer to just cook and eat them on the same day.

How to reheat leftover broccoli in the air fryer

To reheat, pop the florets back in the air fryer for a few minutes at 370F to crisp them back up. Watch closely.

My kids will actually eat & enjoy broccoli, if I make it this way! It’s deliciously seasoned & crisp!

I’ve done air fryer brussel sprouts (with maple syrup and bacon of course) and I thought that was the end all be all of perfect veggies from the air fryer. Now this. Broccoli is one of my all time favorite veggies. Right up there with asparagus. And cooking it in the air fryer really takes it up one more notch. So delicious! I’ve got to do this every time now! Every. Time!
