Preparation
Can you make dill pickle dip ahead of time?
Yes! This can be prepared up to two days in advance and then stored in the refrigerator in a sealed airtight container until ready to enjoy.
Mix well before serving in case separation has occurred.
What kind of pickles for pickle dip?
Honestly, this is wholly a matter of personal taste. We used a mild dill pickle found in the refrigerator section for the pictured version, but when I’m in the mood for a really zingy dip I’ll grab a jar of the shelf stable bright green dill pickles!
You could also use salt water brined pickles or even homemade cucumber pickles!
Fresh or dried dill weed in pickle dip?
We use dried dill weed as it’s always on hand and tastes great, but you could also use fresh if you prefer.
When using fresh dill weed mix in a blender (or with an immersion blender) to cut the herbs up small enough.
Storage and leftovers
How long does dill pickle dip last?
This will keep in the refrigerator for about 4 days. Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator and mix before serving.
Can you freeze pickle dip?
We do not recommend freezing this recipe
