It’s important that you use quick oats for this recipe, not old fashioned oats. The smaller pieces of quick oats help with the texture of the cookies.

Storage and leftovers
How should no bake cookies be stored?
These can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Can you freeze no bake cookies?
Yes! Allow the cookies to cool completely and set and store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge or at room temperature.
Tips and tricks
✅ Make sure to allow the mixture to boil for 1 minute without stirring! The mixture needs to boil long enough to let the cookies set but not too long or the cookies will get hard and crumbly.
✅ Swap out the peanut butter for any nut butter you have on hand.
✅ Use a high quality cocoa powder for the best flavor!
✅ Make sure to line the baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat for easy removal when the cookies are set.
Frequently asked questions
Are there any alternatives to peanut butter for those with allergies?
Absolutely! You can use almond butter, cashew butter, or even sunflower seed butter as a substitute for peanut butter in this recipe. Just be aware that it may alter the flavor and texture slightly.
What mix-ins can I add to the cookies?
You can experiment with adding ingredients like shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or even dried fruit to the cookie mixture for added texture and flavor.
