I love using red potatoes, as well! I prefer a more traditional style of seasoning on them. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. However, a loaded potato version of this recipe would be absolutely AHHHHMAZING!!!! Thank you for all you do! 🥰
Ruth Chamberlain says
I love to try different spices. I have used Old Bay, Ranch powder, anything is better with Garlic. These potatoes have so many different possibilities. The are amazing !!

I typically use red potatoes, russet for baked or french fries. I had not thought of making a loaded potato air fryer side dish, but I will be making that soon!
Deb says
These sound wonderful! I usually use small yellow potatoes, but will try the red ones! Thank You!
Cathy says
I would make them with baby Yukon golds – I think you can’t beat them for a creamy center! And I would probably stick with a salt substitute and cracked pepper with perhaps some powdered onion. And maybe smidge of garlic powder but maybe none OR some Mrs Dash lemon pepper (no salt)
I wonder if the Air Fryer you recommend makes enough to feed your whole family. We have a rather large family too (although most have moved out and have their own families now.) My original air fryer was just too small – I’d have to cook 2 and sometimes three batches. So I never used it and gave it to one of those kids who now have their own family. She and her husband used it so much that it “wore out” I see all of the wonderful recipes and I think perhaps its time to try air fryer cooking again!
Junelle Harmon says
These look divine. I need to get a different air fryer because mine makes very limp potatoes…seems to only make crispy chicken. As for potatoes, I’ve done them with salt & pepper….sometimes use some smoky paprika and garlic powder. I’ve done red potatoes and yukons. Sometime throw some onions in with it.
Victoria Haze says
I love this recipe!! Quick easy and delicious!! I use russets potatoes, with salt and pepper occasionally chili seasoning. Oh and loaded is amazing too!!
Mary says
I would use Yukon Gold potatoes, but your other seasonings sound good. I love the way they look all nice and crispy. My Mom used to boil new potatoes then while they were still a little crispy she would salt and pepper them and fry them on the stove. They were the best. And, seeing the way your pictures show your potatoes, they bring back a lot of memories. Thank you.
CJ says
I am partial to red or yukon potatoes.
Cheryl says
I will absolutely try this recipe! My husband loves roasted potatoes, and in the air fryer, even easier!
Gina B. says
I think I will try small red potatoes with melted butter & sprinkled with Ranch seasoning. Yum! Or simple salt & pepper, then add cheese, bacon bits & scallions to them to make them “loaded”.
