First, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl. Set aside.

Next, using a stand mixer, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fully combined and creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and continue to mix.

Ingredients
 

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons real vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, or a hand mixer on medium speed, in a large bowl cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar for a full two minutes.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, and continue mixing on medium speed for another two minutes.
  • Slowly add in flour mixture, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Do not overmix. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Press the cookie dough into a greased or parchment lined 9x13" baking dish.
  • Bake in a 350℉ oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are a light golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely before cutting.
