Pizza Crescent Roll Ingredients

  • Crescent roll dough – You can make this yourself, or pick up a roll of prepared crescent dough in the refrigerated section of your market.
  • Mozzarella cheese – I like to use a block of cheese divided evenly, but you could also use cut string cheese or shredded cheese.
  • Spaghetti sauce – Gotta have some for dipping!  Or you could even put a dab on the inside before baking.  Grab a jar from the market or make your own with our blender spaghetti sauce recipe or crock pot spaghetti sauce recipe!
  • Optional add-ins – Pepperoni, olives, garlic, sausage, green peppers, tapenade.
Add a few pepperonis at the wide end of the crescent roll.

How do you make pizza crescent rolls? (Step-by-step)

First, unroll crescents onto a large cookie sheet. If you’re worried about the crescents sticking you can butter or flour the surface, or line it with parchment or a silicone baking mat.

Next, place a piece of cheese on each crescent, along with your toppings of choice.

Then, roll crescents starting from the wide end and ending at the narrow end. I like to fold up the edges too so the cheese doesn’t seep out.

Finally, bake until crescents are a golden color and cooked through.

Then a cube (or slice, or some shreds) of cheese on top of the pepperoni.

Crescent Pizza Roll Variations

You can go simple with just three ingredients (crescents, cheese, & sauce), or get all kinds of crazy with the toppings.  I’m partial to fresh garlic and black olives, but the minions in my house want all pepperoni all the time!!!  Hubby goes tropical with ham, and pineapple.  Not my favorite, but I didn’t marry him for his taste in pizza. Hah.

We like to make pizza bites as a quick and easy last minute dinner option (they only take about 20 minutes from start to finish) with a nice big salad.  But they’re also perfect for parties and get togethers.  No one can resist a bite sized pizza. Amiright?

Roll them up, then tuck the sides so the cheese doesn’t come oozing out when they’re baked.

More awesome pizza recipes

If you want them more browned, you can do an egg wash of half water/half egg brushed over the rolls before baking.

Suggested tools

  • Oil mister – This is the perfect gift for folks who want to make sure they know exactly what they’re spraying on their pans.  We like to put olive oil in ours, but you could use anything from vegetable oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, or whatever you like!  Just pump the top a few times and it sprays a fine mist of the oil you chose.
  • Silicone baking mats – Nothing sticks to these!  Whaaaa?!  Perfect for baking sugary cookies, or cheesy croissants.  You know why? Because nothing sticks to these!!!
  • Bakers half sheet – It’s cool, we only have about six of these bakers half sheets because they’re good for absolutely everything.  Cookies? Yes! Steak? Yes! Cake? Oh yeh! Roasted veggies? Uhhhh huh!
They make such a pretty party appetizer!
