PORK CHOPS FOR SLOW COOKER

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Start by seasoning the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for on each side, just until they’re nicely browned. (You can skip this step if you’re in a real time crunch, but we love the flavor it adds!)
  2. Transfer the pork chops to your slow cooker, then sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the top. Finish by sprinkling the brown sugar over the pork chops.
  3. Cover and cook on low , until the pork is tender and cooked through. Serve warm and spoon some of that garlicky brown sugar sauce over the top.

Notes

Recipe Notes:
  • Pork chops: Bone-in pork chops work best and stay the most tender in the slow cooker but boneless can also be used.
  • Searing: This adds flavor and texture, but can be skipped if you’re in a rush.
  • Thickness matters: This recipe is written for ½-inch thick pork chops. Thicker chops may need a little extra time.
  • Garlic: Fresh minced garlic gives the best flavor, but jarred garlic works in a pinch.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 days.
