Strawberry Lime Slush is the perfect combination of sweet and tart, and takes almost no time at all.  You don’t even have to measure!

“April!  It’s NOVEMBER! Why are you posting a summer slush recipe?”  This is hardly a recipe.  Just two ingredients – but it’s my stand-by hot weather mocktail (or cocktail if you toss in a few nips of vodka). It calls for limeade, which I tend to keep on hand, but if you’re in a pinch, lemonade works too.  (Limeade is better though).

Preparation

Can strawberry lime slushes be made ahead of time?

These are best made right before serving as freezing them will solidify the entire drink, and refrigeration would cause them to melt.

What can I use instead of limeade?

If you don’t have limeade available try using lime juice, water and sugar. Taste test to get the right proportions. Alternatively, lemonade can be used in a pinch.

Storage and leftovers

What should I do with leftover strawberry lime slush?

Well, we’ve never had any leftovers, but theoretically you could pour leftovers into a popsicle mold and make strawberry lime popsicles.  Or you could put the pitcher in the refrigerator and enjoy it as a drink later.

  1. This is the best function room in the city. The food they served was warm, fresh and tasty, and the panoramic window is a sight to behold on a clear day. The main hall at venue New York was similar to a club/lounge – however, it had more of an intimate feel.
